I am salivating out here for the doggone story. Maybe the breaking part was a little premature...wouldn't you say. I wonder what headline monsieur Sankareh will come up with once he is done twitching the story that has been breaking for three days and counting. Its going to be "fantaboulous"...so stay tune... Oh the drama of it.Breaking News:Exclusive Interview With Vice President B.B Dabo
We have just concluded a three hour telephone interview with fomer Gambian Vice President, Minister of Education and Finance & Economic Affairs, Bakary B. Dabo from his hotel lounge in Asmara.
Update:
Mr. Sankareh has updated his site to reflect on enquiries like mine. The fantaboulous interview is slated to hit the echo on thursday (that is "Alhamis" for you Babou). A thousand forty people clicked on that breaking story advertising a story still waiting to break...thinking or looking for a...well forget about it. Any "hew" watch that space all you clickers...all thousand and forty of you.

I read the interview. Very interesting indeed, but how trustworthy is BB Darboe? Firstly, BB wants us to belief that the PPP government in their 30 years made very minor mistakes and the rest was that perfect system that the military junta came to destroy. IS THAT THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH? Secondly, in BB's own words: "The court determined, if I remember rightly, that his (Sana's) allegations were unfounded, even if the judge felt troubled by certain things that came to light. Sana appealed but I believe he subsequently withdrew or at least did not pursue the case." IS THIS TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE WHOLE TRUTH? What I, and many Gambians remember is that, the court IN FACT found the allegations founded and all the evidence Sana presented were substantiated. And even after Jawara responded to the media that anyone found guilty by the court will "dance to the music", Sabally after being found guilty by the courts as accused by Sana "danced to the music" of being appointed Vice President. CAN BB NOW RECALL? Finally, on Sankareh, the interviewer. IS SANKAREH AN OBJECTIVE REPORTER OR DOES HE HAVE HIS OWN AGENDA? After the interview SANKAREH in his comments is found cajolling readers not to react otherwise to BB's interview by what he calls "character assasintion" but "show the Gambian spirit of respecting one an other". IS THIS NOT HYPOCRITICAL OF SANKAREH when all his "Gambia Echo" is nothing but only a business of character assinating the President of The Gambian by person of His Excellency Yaya Jammeh and anyone working for his government? He refers to BB "Honorable" "Your excellency VP, Minister" etc while he chooses to adress The President, in particular, and members of his government with all sorts of demeaning names. WHERE IS SANKAREH'S OBJECTIVITY as a reporter? Is he in actual fact a reporter? SANKAREH, be real!

I agree with you that cutting off debate on the interview is ludicrous. BB is a big boy. If he put his neck out there to do an interview, he should expect other points of view. The fact that debate is cut off on the interview say more about Sankareh than BB...won't you agree.
With regards to the Sana Manneh case, I was in the early years of my high school career then. I am verse in the details.
You beat me to the issue of cutting off debate. I was going to take Sankareh to task on that.
