Panderry Mbai has been practicing the worst kind of tabloid journalism for quite sometime now. He has in the process publish inuendo and malign the character of innocent Gambians all in the name of journalism. He will publish any junk sent to his email box as breaking news without checking on the veracity of the allegation made in these hit pieces.
Repute Gambian journalist have resist to take him on to stop what in essence is a bastardization of their noble profession. Many have happily granted him interview, legitimizing his brand in the process. This is a travesty. Therefore I have taken it upon myself to fact check Nderry Mbai's stories and hold his feet to fire.
I am not a journalist. I am a citizen practicing what Nderry Mbai has been abusing: free speech. Someone need to give him a taste of his own medication. Publish innuendo and half truths about him and his family and see how he likes it.
There is nothing wrong with holding our elected representatives accountable. I will hasten to say that is in fact noble. However what Nderry has been doing is borderline libelious in most cases. I know the his supporters will point to the fact that he hasn't been sued yet. To which I say his day is coming.
With free speech comes great responsibility. Nderry Mbai loves the former, but is not so fun of the later. Here is to the start of keeping him honest.

- I am a Gambian sick and tired of the junk Pa Nderry is passing for journalism. Contrary to what some may believe, I am not a Jammeh apologist neither do I hate Nderry. Journalism is a noble profession and we need ethical journalist if we are to build a better society post Yahya. The form nderry practice is salacious and thus I took it upon myself to keep him honest. I have neither the power or inclination to stop him. I love free speech, but I also knew with free speech comes responsibility. Why do you think you get thrown into jail if you shout fire in a crowded theater? There are limits to free speech ultimately. Maligning characters because you live in exile makes me wince. That is nderry's trait. My motivation is to point out the fallacies in his stories to the best of my ability with the limited time at my disposal.

Yes, although Pa claims to be unbias in his reporting, i find it to be only directed towards destroying Jammeh and any body that allies with him. He should also report about the progress that is made in the Gambia on certain sectors. Everything about Jammeh and his allies cannot be bad, something has to be good.
You got a point there Free speech. Nderry has become notorious for publishing rumor and never pointing out anything positive about the Gambia.
Nderry sounds like a desperate fame seeker rummaging any perceived obstacle without remorse...
Thanks for having the time and energy for taking up such a noble duty. We all owe such an initiative to our nation - again, thanks to you it is you that have taken the burden. Other so-called "News papers" to check out are, for instance, the Gambia Echo. Ebrima Sankareh happens to be the other side of Pa Nderry. Are they long lost cousins, is it a thing in the family blood (laugh)?

I will take a look at the Gambia Echo as well and believe me, i will take them to task if I have to. But for now I will stick with Nderry. He is obviously the biggest maligner of people's character without evidence.
I concurred with you, Pa Ndarry is very irresponsible. He only reports hearsay without finding geniune points. He used his online paper to seek for American Dream (Green Card) by carelessly handling his subscribers privacy and cause them great pains. The so called freedomnewspaper informants suffered greatly because of this selfish guy. Pa has been degrading our Homeland and every efforts is needed to repartriate him back to face the libels, accusations, harm he commited. My little brother of 14 suffered severe tortures from NIA (because of this useless story and rumour writer), for being freedom informant.
A responsible journalist will not be publishing insults on his commentary like how his story paper portray earlier. Pa needs to be taken to the GALLOW period.
